CPA Exam Studying Made Easier

For those of you who are studying for the dreaded CPA Exam, a new Web site has landed online that just may make your journey a bit easier.

Andrew Lee, a CPA in Vancouver, Wash. who passed all four sections of the exam on his first attempt, launched CPAreviewmaterials.com last week and hopes it will become a resource for those studying.

“Preparing for the exam can be very overwhelming - knowing the requirements to become a CPA, who to contact to become eligible to sit for the exam, and especially studying for the actual exam,” Lee told Accounting Tomorrow. “I looked around and did not see any sites that (in my opinion) did a good job of helping aspiring CPAs with the process. So I saw this as an unmet need that could have lots of value.”

Lee’s site offers three components – a storefront with CPA review courses from five different publishers, an articles page with advice for CPA exam applicants written by Lee and two publishers, and a forum for CPA exam applicants to ask and answer questions.

“I want them [applicants] to be able to get feedback from others about the exam in the forum, a support group if you will,” he said. “On my end, I will answer forum questions when possible, but my main focus will be to produce quality articles with tips that will help people pass the exam.”
