Women in Finance Symposium Happens Monday

The U.S. Department of the Treasury, in partnership with The White House Council on Women and Girls, is hosting a Women in Finance Symposium in celebration of Women’s History Month.

Slated for March 29, the event will bring together senior administration officials, private sector leaders, university presidents and women just entering the finance field for a series of panel discussions – all in an effort to recognize the contributions of women and to discuss ways to foster success among future generations.

The symposium will be accessible to students around the country via webcast and symposium panelists will answer students’ questions submitted in advance. It’s not too late to submit a question – students and young professionals can ask away at WomenInFinance@do.treas.gov through the end of the day today.

CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo will moderate the symposium’s opening panel and broadcast “Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo” live from the Treasury Department later that afternoon.

The event will also be streamed live on www.treasury.gov.
