BDO named a best CPA firm for women

The American Society of Women Accountants and the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants has named Chicago-based BDO as one of the 2010 Best CPA Firms for Women.

The award is an initiative of the ASWA and AWSCPA joint Accounting/MOVE project, a national research effort to measure progress and advance women at public accounting firms and corporate accounting employers.

BDO showed consistent measurement of incremental change in the number of women at key levels within the firm and the firm’s ability to correlate the data with programs for training and retention.

“All of us at BDO are proud to be recognized by the ASWA and the AWSCPA with this honor,” said Sandi Guy, partner and national director of human capital at BDO. “This award highlights our efforts in building and retaining a diverse workforce through our Women’s Initiative and championing work/life fit through our BDO Flex strategy.”
