CRI congratulates Mississippi Gold Medal Recipient

IMGCAP(1)] Jon Barnett, a staff member at Carr, Riggs & Ingram in Jackson, Miss., not only passed the CPA Exam in one sitting, he achieved the highest grade on the 2009 test – earning him state-wide recognition.

As a result, Barnett, who works on the firm’s audit team, has been awarded the Fred T. Neely Gold Medal Award by the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was honored during the business meeting of the MSCPA’s annual convention.

“Our firm believes in hiring the best talent and investing in their future and Jon is an example of our success in this arena,” said Dan Holliday, local partner-in-charge. “We congratulate Jon for this accomplishment and our team looks forward to his continued success at our firm.”

Barnett completed both a Bachelor of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration at Mississippi State University.
