Can accountants be hip?

Those at www.passionateaccountant.com think so. In case you haven’t heard it yet, there’s a new ring tone floating around the Internet that is – wait for it – a rap song.
The hip hop single, released by rap artist Young Pome, is at first laughable but I have to admit, it’s got some beat. Aptly named “Passionate Accountant.com” the song aims to put a modern spin on the profession’s value to business owners.
“We wanted a memorable way to raise awareness about professionals who go beyond traditional accounting services to help their clients improve business performance,” said Edi Osborne, chief executive of Mentor Plus, a consulting firm who launched the Passionate Accountant website. “We expect this tune to get us in front of a new audience.”
Download the ring tone at www.passionateaccountant.com and if you want the whole song, you can find it on iTunes.
