CCR employees volunteer Day of Caring

CPA and business advisory firm CCR just completed their 4th Annual Community Day of Caring in Boston; North Grafton, Mass.; Mystic Conn.; and Providence, R.I.

The CCR Charitable Foundation closed the firm for one day June 10 to volunteer time with local communities.

“Community Day of Caring is a result of our year-round commitment to give back to the communities where we live and work,” said Managing Partner David A. Platt in a statement. “I believe that volunteering is an important professional responsibility. It offers a fresh perspective of what is really important and helps redefine the meaning of success. Employees find it rewarding to provide assistance and direction to others in need.”

CCR supported the following organizations:

The Greater Boston Food Bank, where employees assembled bags of food to be distributed throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

The Community Harvest Project in North Grafton, Mass., where employees planted and weeded the fresh vegetables supplied to local food banks.

At the Mystic Seaport Aquarium in Mystic, Conn., employees did maintenance work to keep the museum clean.

Employees volunteering at the Women’s Resource Center in Providence, R.I., repaired, painted and landscaped the center, which provides assistance to victims of domestic violence.
