Northeast accounting and consulting firm Citrin Cooperman announced the 10 students recently awarded scholarships totaling $40,000 as part of the firm’s 9th Annual High School Accounting/Business Student Grant Program.
The students will each receive $4,000 to be equally distributed over the course of four years, contingent on current college enrollment and specific requirements of the firm’s scholarship committee. The committee is led by Alex Serrano, co-managing partner of the Livingston, N.J., office and comprised of a representative group in each of the firm’s offices in Connecticut, New Jersey, Philadelphia, White Plains and New York City.
“These students possess outstanding academic qualities that set them apart from a field of impressive applicants,” Serrano said in a statement. “We are excited to be able to contribute to the future of these bright students.”
Citrin Cooperman’s college grant program has awarded $150,000 to 75 students since its launch in 2005. Students must maintain a 2.75 GPA, be enrolled as a business or accounting major, and can apply annually for the program in January, with selections made in May.
This year’s recipients, to be honored at a breakfast at the firm’s New York City headquarters July 9, are:

• Jordan Fletcher, Philadelphia, Pa.
