Dannible & McKee dedicates Days of Caring

Syracuse, N.Y., accounting firm Dannible & McKee is sending teams of volunteers to participate in the United Way of Central New York’s Days of Caring Oct. 21-24.

Coinciding with the firm’s United Way campaign, the program offers staff a chance to see their United Way contributions at work in various services and agencies.

The calendar of events, starting Monday, is:

Monday, Oct. 21, from 3-5 p.m.: A group of five accounting professionals will be volunteering at PEACE Inc.’s Eastside Family Resource Center (S. Beech Street, Syracuse) assisting with various maintenance needs.

Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 7:30-9 a.m.: A group of professionals and staff will be serving breakfast to guests at the Samaritan Center (Montgomery Street, Syracuse).  Additionally, Senior audit manager, Charla Roth, will be volunteering at Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse, conducting a financial literacy class from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 7:30-9 a.m.: A group of professionals and staff will be serving breakfast to guests at the Samaritan Center (Montgomery Street, Syracuse). Another group of professionals and staff will be volunteering to organize donations at the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center from 3– 5 p.m. (East Genesee Street, Syracuse).  At the Dannible & McKee offices, staff will gather to put on a fundraiser-style Pot Luck Luncheon for all staff from 12–1 pm. 

Thursday, Oct. 24, from 7:30-9 a.m.: A group of professionals and staff will be serving breakfast to guests at the Samaritan Center (Montgomery Street, Syracuse) while another group volunteers to paint and restore rooms at the Syracuse Northeast Community Center (Hawley Ave., Syracuse) from 3-5 p.m. 

Friday, Oct. 25, from 4 – 5 p.m.: All 80-plus employees of Dannible & McKee will gather for an ice cream social and to share their Days of Caring experience with the group at the Firm’s offices (S. Warren Street, Syracuse).
