John, Wiley & Sons, CollegeFrog present internships through partnership

John Wiley & Sons, provider of educational solutions in higher education and CPA exam review material, has partnered with CollegeFrog, recruitment automation provider for professional services firms, to offer more internship opportunities to U.S. accounting students.

Students using WileyPlus, a research-based online teaching and learning environment, with Kieso, Weygandt, Warfield’s course book Intermediate Accounting 15th Edition will have early access to all internship listings posted on CollegeFrog starting in mid-February.

CollegeFrog, WileyPlus and Wiley CPAexcel also kicked off National Meet the Firms Week Monday, the free online recruiting event connecting job and internship-seeking accounting students with firms across the country. During the virtual event, which runs through Friday and also features daily informational webinars, students’ online profiles and resumes are distributed to every registered firm in their state.

“Wiley has been the preeminent leader in accounting education for decades, and we continue to create the best platforms to help support the progression of accounting majors,” said Wiley president and CEO Steve Smith in a statement. “Our partnership with CollegeFrog will help students to have greater access to the best accounting internships, and connect their course work to help launch their future careers.”

CollegeFrog’s internships will be featured in WileyPlus, where students can search for internships while doing homework and preparing for exams.

“For the thousands of firms wanting to hire top level interns the traditional model no longer works,” stated CollegeFrog CEO Jeff Phillips. “The days of taking time off to travel to a college campus, or multiple campuses, are well and truly over. Wiley and CollegeFrog, through our unique initiatives, provide every firm, from the Big Four to smaller local firms, with the best opportunity to find the right talent at a lower cost.”
