KatzAbosch COO inducted into Network 2000

Arlene R. Thayer, chief operating officer of Mid-Atlantic CPA and consulting firm KatzAbosch, was recently inducted into Network 2000, a nonprofit which promotes the advancement of women in professional and executive positions.

Thayer joins 85 other members who are leaders in the Maryland business community, including fellow KatzAbosch shareholder Jane M. Brewer. Other members of the nonprofit, founded in 1993, include judges, bank presidents, corporate COOs and CFOs, hospital CEOs, law firm partners and publishing executives.

Last year, Thayer became one of only four Accredited Administrator in Accounting Practice Management (AAAPM) professionals in the State of Maryland, and was honored as Smart COO of the Year by SmartCEO Magazine. She also received the YWCA Leadership Award from the YWCA of Greater Baltimore and the Achievement, Commitment and Excellence (ACE) Award by CPA Practice Management Forum, Association for Accounting Administration.  Additionally, Thayer is a two-time recipient of the Practice Innovation Award presented by Practical Accountant Magazine.

“We are extremely proud of Arlene,” stated KatzAbosch president and CEO Mark Cissell. “She exemplifies our firm’s commitment to supporting women in business, and serves as an inspiration to our entire firm.”
