MSPC goes blue for Autism Awareness Day

Cranford, N.J.-based accounting and consulting firm MSPC went blue Tuesday in support of Autism Awareness Day, donning sweatshirts and attire in the color for Autism Awareness’ annual Light it Up Blue campaign to spread awareness of the developmental disorder.

MSPC’s participation was led by Cathy Davis and Lisa Meierhofer, who organized the firm’s walk for Autism Speaks in the fall. The firm joined the many iconic public spaces, homes and communities that mark the United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day.

“Today was about showing community support,” Davis stated. “We see children with autism and often feel helpless. Today we were able to bring our firm together if only to tell others that we understand and we care.”

“Our firm is like a family and it is a great feeling for all of the staff to feel a part of something that helps others,” said managing partner Jim Flannery in a statement. “We all know someone who knows someone impacted by autism.”
