Myers, Brettholtz employees donate Thanksgiving turkeys

Employees of Florida CPA and business consulting firm Myers, Brettholtz & Company recently donated 157 pounds of turkeys to the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida.

After the firm gifted each of its 24 staff members with a turkey for Thanksgiving, more than half donated theirs to the food bank, according to Myers, Brettholtz shareholder Lori Sampson-Wilson.

“Community involvement and volunteerism are an integral component of the culture at our firm,” Sampson-Wilson stated. “When you see your team unselfishly give to others in a time of need, it is personally rewarding.”

With a mission to overcome hunger in Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Glades and Hendry counties through education and food distribution, the Harry Chapin Food Bank hopes to collect 298,000 pounds of food and raise $1.4 million to feed children, families, seniors and other southwest Florida residents in need during Thanksgiving and the holidays.
