NJSCPA Young CPAs collect food in annual drive

The New Jersey Society of CPAs membership group the Young CPAs collected more than 2,800 pounds of food during its annual September to November food drive to benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

The donations, made to collection points at 15 firms throughout the state, were then organized for distribution by 38 Young CPA volunteers at the FoodBank facility.

“It's often easy to take for granted the good fortune in our lives,” stated volunteer Melissa Soranno. “Volunteering at the Community FoodBank of NJ gave me the opportunity to share some good fortune with, and help fill a basic need for, members of the community who need it most.”
