Judy Murphy, partner-in-charge of regional accounting and professional consulting firm RubinBrown, was awarded the Fr. Joseph L. Davis, S.J., Alumni Merit Award by Saint Louis University’s John Cook School of Business Alumni Association.

Murphy, who graduated from SLU with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, was recognized for her volunteer service and “application of business education in a manner that fosters professional advancement and accomplishment.”

Murphy leads the firm’s not-for-profit services group and is partner in the assurance services group.

This year’s John Cook School of Business Excellence awards were bestowed during a dinner May 14 to distinguished alumni, faculty and corporate partners for their community service and dedication to the school.

With 30 years of experience in the profession, Murphy is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the Better Business Bureau’s Charity Review Advisory Committee, the Accounting Advisory Board at SLU, and the executive committee of the Gruenberg Society of Saint Louis University. Murphy was also former president of the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and serves on the audit committee of the Nonprofit Services Center.
