SKC increases accounting firm presence on NJ Best Places to Work list

Accounting firm Sharpe, Kawam, Carmosino & Company was named one of the 2011 Best Places to Work in New Jersey by NJBiz magazine.

SKC, based in Boontoon Township, will be one of 70 employers honored at the gala event April 26 and joins fellow accounting firms Cowan, Gunteski & Co. and Citrin Cooperman.

The firm was established in 1982 and specializes in closely-held entrepreneurial companies.

“We’re a small firm, about 25 people, and we’ve managed to grow over the last three years, despite tough economic times,” said SKC Managing Partner Mitchell Sharpe in a statement. “I believe that’s testament to our culture and the work ethic of everybody here. I couldn’t be happier about our NJBiz award and I am very proud of and grateful to all of our people. They made this possible.”

To qualify as either a small/midsized or large company on the list, companies have to have at least 15 employees in New Jersey, be a publicly or privately held business and have a facility in New Jersey.
