TSCPA educates college students on personal finance

The Texas Society of CPAs introduced Money Management 101, a 20-page guide of financial basics to alleviate the stresses of personal finance for Texas college students.

The manual addresses topics like: paychecks and savings, understanding taxes, credit cards, banking, renting an apartment or home, and careers in accounting.

TSCPA is working with colleges and universities in the state to distribute the booklets during fall semester orientations. A downloadable version is available on its personal finance website www.valueyourmoney.org.
