White Nelson Holds Clothing Drive for Charity

Accounting and tax firm White, Nelson & Co. held a clothing drive to benefit Women Helping Women, a Santa Ana, Calif.-based group that helps prepare women for the workplace after they escape a violent relationship.

The clothing drive also benefited Men2Work, a Costa Mesa chapter of the charity that assists men. White nelson’s 85 employees contributed over 500 pieces of clothing to WHW and Men2Work.

“We’re pleased to make a contribution to the work of WHW and Men2Work, which plays an important role in our community helping women and men in difficult circumstances transition to happier, more productive lifestyles,” said White Nelson managing partner Dave Doran.

He noted that WHW/Men2Work is White Nelson’s newest nonprofit industry client. Founded in 1993, WHW’s services include providing its clients with clothing and image-consulting services, job placement assistance, educational workshops and computer training.  In 2008, WHW launched Men2Work, which serves low-income men with families who need job-acquisition skills and appropriate business attire.
