Women's leadership forum to provide career strategy, recognize top CPAs

The Women’s Leadership Forum, a day-long event sponsored by the California CPA Education Foundation and the California Society of CPAs, will be held Friday at the Marriott Marina del Rey.

Designed to provide leadership strategies and success tools for women, the forum will feature a series of break-out sessions on topics like personal branding, strategies for recruiting and developing women leaders and achieving results while managing stress, career and family demands.

Speakers include Jodi S. Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide, and Donna J. Miles, associate professor of clinical management communication for the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

A lunch celebration will recognize the state’s top women CPAs.

"If you are a woman in the financial services professions, you'll find this forum will be brimming with ideas and tips that will make you a more valuable resource to your colleagues and clients," said Loretta Doon, CEO of CalCPA and the Education Foundation, in a statement. "What's more, you'll get to meet and network with fellow professionals and make connections that could help you advance your career to the next level."

Attendees are also encouraged to donate new women’s professional attire to Dress for Success.

Forum registration information is available at www.calcpa.org or by calling 800-922-5272.
