Michigan cloud-solutions vendor named Best and Brightest

Troy, Mich.-based Billhighway, provider of cloud-based accounting solutions for nonprofit organizations, was named, for the second time, one of Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the Michigan Business and Professional Association.

Billhighway also received the award, presented annually to employers displaying best practices and philosophies, in 2010. This year, the company was one of 101 recipients chosen by an independent research firm that evaluated nominees based on: employee communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.

Billhighway will receive the honor during a workforce symposium and awards luncheon Sept. 27 in Dearborn, Mich.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized as a leader in creating organizational value and business results through our HR practices,” said Vince Thomas, CEO and founder, in a statement. “Our focus is on building a team of diverse, passionate and empowered professionals. This award is a testament that Billhighway is an ideal place for team members to work hard, be challenged, have fun and meaningfully contribute to the success of our nonprofit clients.”
