Citrin Cooperman rallies for American Cancer Society

Northeastern accounting, tax and business consulting firm Citrin Cooperman raised $15,652 in support of the American Cancer Society’s 2011 Relay for Life June 24-25 in Ocean City, N.J.

The firm’s team of 20 people took turns walking and running around the Ocean City High School track to honor the society’s mission to eliminate and prevent cancer.

Firm partner Jeffrey Gittler led the fundraising efforts from the Philadelphia office, individually raising more than $12,000.

“The fight against cancer is a cause that is near to my heart, so it was moving to see my colleagues rally and support this great program and organization,” said Gittler in a statement. “Relay for Life is a life-changing event that gives people a chance to celebrate the lives of those we know that have battled cancer, to remember lost loved ones, and to fight back against this major health problem.”
