Citrin Cooperman walks for the cure

Employees of Philadelphia accounting, tax and business consulting firm Citrin Cooperman supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Oct. 23.

Senior accountant Kelly Fazakas organized the firm’s team of 23 people that helped raise $2,500 during the annual event, which hosts 10,000 people and has raised millions of dollars.

“Citrin Cooperman was proud to support the JDRF Walk To Cure Diabetes as it is such a commendable event for a worthy cause,” said Fazakas in a statement. “Having grown up with a sibling who suffered from juvenile diabetes, I personally appreciate the wonderful work of the JDRF and the difference that it makes in Philadelphia and beyond.”

JDRF is the largest charitable funding advocate of type 1 diabetes research. More than 500,000 people in 200 locations participate in the Walk to Cure Diabetes event each year. For more information, visit www.jdrf.org.
