Nine student teams from nine schools have been named regional winners of Deloitte FanTAXtic tax case study competition.
From a total of 71 participating teams from 49 colleges and universities, the winning teams demonstrated the ability to collaboratively solve a complex business case during the Nov. 1-2 event held at 15 Deloitte offices across the country.
Each team was also judged for the quality of their overall presentation before a panel of live and virtual judges looped in via video conferencing. Nine additional teams also received regional honorable mention awards.
The teams will next, from Jan. 17-19, 2014, compete for more than $50,000 in individual scholarships and institutional awards at the Deloitte FanTAXtic national competition at Deloitte University, the Big Four’s national learning and leadership development center near Dallas.
Deloitte FanTAXtic is an interactive program sponsored by Deloitte and the Deloitte Foundation to familiarize students with the tax profession early in their careers, with local Deloitte tax professionals offering support and guidance.
