Dixon Hughes Goodman demonstrates “One Can Make a Difference”

Dixon Hughes Goodman recently donated 431,475 pounds of food to the communities the CPA firm serves in 11 states.

The amount includes cans of fruit gathered on “Fruity Friday” and wellness items collected on “Wellness Wednesday,” two areas of focus for this year’s “One Can Make a Difference” themed campaign. A majority of the firm’s 1,800 employees participated.

“People are the heart of our core values and we strive to embody our values in the work we do to enrich the lives of others,” stated Dixon Hughes Goodman CEO Matt Snow. “Because food banks have an increased need for donations during the summer months when children are out of school, we have a tremendous opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our communities during this season of great need.”

Held from June 20-27 to collect monetary and non-perishable food donations, the third annual Count the Cans food drive is part of Dixon Hughes Goodman’s GIVES (Go. Invest. Volunteer. Engage. Serve.) Initiative, for which the firm’s multiple offices come together once a year to support a collective cause.
