Eastern Michigan University joins IDEA Partnership

Eastern Michigan University joined the IDEA Academic Partnership and received a network license for data analysis software IDEA, a tool for accounting and financial professionals.

In accepting the in-kind-donation, valued at $75,000, the university joins more than 170 other U.S. colleges and universities that participate in the IDEA Academic Partnership, which aims to help students develop critical thinking and experience.

Professor of accounting Barbara Ross, who serves as the Accounting Information Systems Chairperson for the Midwest Association Meeting and conducts research in accounting information systems and auditing, selected IDEA for Eastern Michigan and personally paid for the small upgrade to get the full professional version of the software installed in the school computer lab.

The IDEA Academic Partnership is sponsored by Audimation Services, sole distributor of IDEA, CaseWare Monitor and SmartExporter. Additional information on the partnership is available at www.audimation.com/academic.
