PMI bestows E&Y with Distinguished Project honor

Ernst & Young was named recipient of Project Management Institute’s Distinguished Project Award, which recognizes successful projects promoting project management concepts, techniques, practices, or theories through the application of project management principles.

PMI recognized the Big Four firm’s advisory services’ work on a web infrastructure treatment services project for the Florida Department of Children.

The team utilized its proprietary framework in the $1.9 million project, helping DCF implement a web-based electronic health records system.

"We're honored to be recognized for this award and pleased that we could support our client," said Mike Shaklik, partner of Ernst & Young’s advisory services, in a statement.

The firm was presented with the 2011 PMI Distinguished Project Award May 14. To learn more about the award, visit www.pmi.org.
