Connecticut accounting firm BlumShapiro continued its tradition of forgoing the annual holiday party in favor of a charitable donation for a third time this past year, presenting a $2,500 check to the Community Renewal Team’s East Hartford Community Shelter.
The shelter holds 40 beds for families with children and single men.
“Every day the East Hartford Community Shelter provides a safe haven for children and their families,” said managing partner Carl Johnson in a statement. “It is our honor to support their work.”
