Forensic accounting firm awards scholarship

Glastonbury, Conn.-based firm Forensic Accounting Services awarded Stratford High School student Meagan Simon a scholarship to pursue a career in forensic accounting.

“She shows a lot of potential with a finance internship under her belt already and is an active member in many clubs such as Future Business Leaders of America and National Honor Society,” said Forensic Accounting Principal Stephen Pedneault in a statement. “I want to support driven students that show potential by offering scholarship opportunities to students like Meagan.”

Pedneault has been donating toward high school scholarships since 2008.

Simon, who received her award during a June 7 banquet, plans to major in accounting and criminal justice at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire with hopes of a future career with the FBI.

Forensic Accounting Services is a CPA firm specializing in fraud investigations, forensic accounting, employee embezzlement, fraud prevention, litigation support services, internal control evaluations and due diligence analysis.
