Twitter releases results of case study featuring Freed Maxick

Western New York firm Freed Maxick CPAs, chosen by Twitter, Inc. to represent the B2B/professional services sector in a year-long case study promoted on Twitter’s business website for advertisers, has announced those results.

The firm used promoted tweets to introduce thought leadership pieces into communities engaged in real-time conversations about tax reform.

Over the course of a year, the firm ran two dozen different tax and industry-specific thought leadership campaigns that included: legislative overviews of President Obama’s 2012 Corporate Tax Proposals; and the tax implications of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Healthcare Reform), the Payroll Tax Holiday, and the president’s Fiscal 2013 Budget Proposal.

Through monitoring website downloads and offering complimentary phone consultations or tax situation reviews, Freed Maxick tracked a 110 percent increase in Twitter-generated leads, with 95 percent of these coming from new geographic markets. The firm’s @FreedMaxickCPAs Twitter followers also grew to 24,000.

In May 2011, Freed Maxick helped beta test Twitter’s promoted tweets and promoted accounts features as part of a select group of national advertisers including Microsoft, MTV and the Red Cross.
