ICPAS hosting Young Professionals Leadership Conference

The Illinois CPA Society will be hosting the Young Professionals Leadership Conference May 30 in Chicago to prepare the next generation of finance and accounting professionals, with a specific focus this year on strategies for workplace connectivity.

Additional presentations for the event, open to members and non-members at the Mid-America Club, AON Center, from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., include creating power teams, relationship-building for business opportunities and a case study in destructive culture.

Jason Lauritsen, Talent Anarchy founder and author, will be giving the keynote speech about taking unexpected opportunities to connect with others to turn them into meaningful relationships.

“The Young Professionals Leadership Conference is a premier event for the Society,” stated Illinois CPA Society president and CEO Todd Shapiro. “We all know the adage, ‘it’s not what you know, but who you know’ and this conference emphasizes the importance of creating and fostering connections to further one’s career. This conference embraces the next generation of accounting professionals and equips them to leverage meaningful relationships.”
