Jackson Hewitt hoping to Give Kids the World this tax season

Tax preparation firm Jackson Hewitt is doing it for the children this tax season, donating money to partner charity Give Kids the World through customer coupons.

From Jan. 2 through April 15, Jackson Hewitt will donate $3 to Give Kids the World for every taxpayer that prints a $30 discount coupon from www. JacksonHewitt.com and uses it at a participating office.

The charity operates a Give Kids the World Village, a 70-acre nonprofit “storybook” resort in Central Florida, where the Jackson Hewitt promotion will help send children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Those families are treated to a week-long, cost-free vacation with villa accommodations, transportation, meals and donated tickets to area attractions.

"For many children who are struggling with difficult health issues as well as their families caring for them, maintaining positivity is important, “said Philip H. Sanford, Jackson Hewitt president and chief executive officer, in a statement. “Spending a week at the Give Kids The World Village can make a big difference in their lives… We are honored to be aligning with this important cause."

"Thanks to the generosity of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and its customers, Give Kids The World will be able to continue its mission of providing weeklong, cost-free fantasy vacations to children who need it the most," said GKTW President Pamela Landwirth. "Every year, we help fulfill the wishes of more than 7,000 children from around the world and this campaign will help us make the dreams of our precious guests come true."
