J.H. Cohn's Bowl-A-Thon strikes $100K for Make-A-Wish

J.H. Cohn raised more than $110,000 at its 11th annual employee Bowl-A-Thon for Make-A-Wish New Jersey July 10, helping grant approximately 13 “wishes” this summer.

To date, the accounting and consulting firm has raised more than $1.25 million for Make-A-Wish, which it supports through its foundation’s Cohn for Kids initiative.

Bowlers from J.H. Cohn’s Roseland, N.J., offices raised the money through donations and sponsorships from friends, family and clients, along with participation in raffles and auctions.

"Every year, I'm impressed by how our employees rally together to support this very special organization and the children it serves," stated Michael L. Cohen, office managing partner of J.H. Cohn's Roseland office, director of the J.H. Cohn Foundation, and a Make-A-Wish New Jersey board member. "It was especially touching to have Kai, an eight-year-old Wish child, and his family join us this year. His spirit is an inspiration to all of us.”

Cohen was presented with the inaugural Michael L. Cohen Corporate Citizen Award during the event, to be given annually to a firm partner or employee who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their community.
