Maryland firm EVP finishes 15th swim challenge

Peter Reilly, executive vice president of Bethesda, Md.-based CPA and business advisory firm Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, recently completed his 15th Great Chesapeake Bay 4.4 Mile Swim.

Joining Reilly in his 2013 open water swim challenge was his 23-year-old son Brendan, whose first effort with his father, in 2004, earned him the honor of youngest person to complete the swim.

“I never thought Brendan would have done it again after nine years. His wanting to do this with me as an early celebration of Father’s Day made the experience really amazing!” Reilly stated, joking: “I’m not real happy about him beating me, though.”

One of America’s premier open water swim challenges, the Great Chesapeake Bay Swim is limited to 600 pre-registered entrants every year on the second Sunday in June.
