NASBA releases 2013 CPA Exam School Performance book

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy has officially released the 2013 Uniform CPA Examination School Performance book, a companion to NASBA’s Candidate Performance Book.

The book features comprehensive statistical data from all four testing windows of the 2013 uniform CPA exam.

The publication’s first edition, released last year, was designed to meet the general needs of educational institutions by allowing for easier comparison of institution performance with various categories including other universities or all schools in a given state or region.

The book also includes full-page graphical reports for states, regions and universities and a view into performance by region and program size among peer institutions.

“Accounting program faculty and administrators will greatly benefit from the publication’s statistics on first-time examination takers and students that have taken the CPA examination within one year of graduation,” stated James Suh, NASBA’s director of continuous improvement and analytics.

NASBA began gathering data on CPA exam candidates in 1982 and has published reports on performance and selected characteristics since 1985.
