AICPA's Women's Leadership Summit, Nov. 12-13 in SF, to feature finance trailblazers

Women make up approximately half of all new accounting grads, but are still statistically underrepresented at the partner and other leadership levels. The AICPA's Global Women’s Leadership Summit, held Nov. 12 - 13 2015 at the Hilton San Francisco, looks to help women in the accounting and finance fields develop key business skills and maximize networking and mentoring opportunities to boost their careers.

This year's keynote speakers include:

  • Cathy Engelbert - CEO of Deloitte LLP and the first female chief executive of a Big Four firm
  • Kimberly Ellison-Taylor - AICPA vice-chair and director of Oracle’s Global Industry Solutions Group
  • Shelley Brown - A Deloitte partner and former chair of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and CPA Canada
  • Rayona Sharpnack - Founder and CEO of the Institute for Women’s Leadership.

Other highlights will include: 

  • A high-profile panel of women trailblazers in business and finance: Elaine Howle, California’s state auditor; Myriam Madden, president of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); Fran Maier, founder of Match.com and TRUSTe; and Jennifer K. Thomson, chief financial management officer for the World Bank
  • Sessions on a variety of key business skills such as conflict resolutions, negotiation, business development and communication
  • Pre-conference technical workshops on “Tax, Technology and Tools Update” and “Delivering the Audit of the Future, Today”
