Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) launches DiscoverAudit.org for students and educators

The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) recently announced the launch of a new website - DiscoverAudit.org - to will provide information and resources on public company auditing careers and the bevy of opportunities the profession can offer.

The website caters to students, parents, counselors, and educators, including resources such as:

  • Toolkits for planning auditing careers, designed for high-school and college students
  • Videos with auditors explaining their day-to-day careers
  • Resources for preparing for an audit career and the CPA exam
  • A forum for students and educators to ask auditors questions or arrange a classroom visit

“Students need to know about the exciting and diverse opportunities that await them in an audit career,” stated Cindy Fornelli, CAQ's executive director. “Accounting and auditing are some of the highest-paying and fastest-growing fields for recent college graduates. The profession offers a dynamic workplace in virtually any sector of the economy and gives young professionals a chance to learn business from the inside out. The CAQ is dedicated to helping the public company auditing profession attract the best and the brightest to serve the ever changing needs of the business community, investors, and capital markets.”
CAQ launched the website ahead of their second annual #AuditorProud day, in which thousands of auditors from shared the stories of their careers.
