Walthall CPAs announces new stewardship initiative

Ohio firm Walthall CPAs has announced their new “Giving Back, Looking Forward” firmwide stewardship initiative. The firm is looking to have all team members provide eight hours of volunteer time via participation in service projects throughout the year.

Walthall has honored a commitment to the nonprofit industry for more than 70 years, annually giving thousands of dollars in donations, sponsorships, items, and event attendance to nonprofit organizations.

“We understand that a thriving community is essential to the well-being of its people, which is why we give back to the communities in which we live and work,” stated Richard Lash, managing partner at Walthall. “We have a solid nonprofit practice group that provides discounted services to clients and support many of its clients and their missions. We encourage our team members to join nonprofit groups and boards and to participate in volunteer activities. Now was the time to give them some of our time to do just that.”

Each office in the firm will choose a service project each holiday season. In addition, the firm will hold “dress down dollar days,” in which staff can wear jeans on Fridays to collect money for a different charity each quarter.

As part of the new initiative, the firm will also actively seek out volunteer opportunities for their employees. Staff also have the option of volunteering for the nonprofit organization of their choice.
