PwC's Silicon Valley practice donating to four local nonprofits

PwC announced that its Silicon Valley practice will donate a total of $85,000 to four Silicon Valley-based nonprofit organizations, funded through grants from the PwC Charitable Foundation.

Additionally, members of PwC’s Silicon Valley practice will be volunteering their time for these organizations, adding to the more than 5,3000 hours of volunteer time to local charitable organizations this fiscal year.

The following organizations will be receiving donations:

  • Silicon Valley Education Foundation: A nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing Silicon Valley public education by driving scholastic achievement in math and science through innovative academic programs.
  • RAFT: Resource Area For Teaching: A nonprofit organization committed to transforming teaching by helping educators revolutionize a child's learning experience through hands-on education.
  • The First Tee of Silicon Valley: A nonprofit organization aimed at teaching youth the core values of integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf.
  • Girls Leadership Institute: A nonprofit organization targeted at teaching girls the skills to know who they are, what they believe, and how to express it, empowering them to make change in their world.

"Improving educational opportunities for the Bay Area youth is a top priority for us at the firm, and we are happy to assist these organizations in their mission of empowering local students to become integral and impactful members of the community."
In its first year, PwC's Earn Your Future campaign, which works to close the educational gap by collaborating with schools and community organizations to drive improvements in financial literacy, impacted 500,000 youth and 18,000 educators, while partners and staff contributed 150,000 volunteer service hours to youth education and development across the US.
