SS&G's Golf Classic raises $23K for Alzheimer's Association

Top 100 business advisory and management consulting firm SS&G’s 16th Annual Memorial Golf Classic June 25 raised more than $23,000 to benefit the Cleveland and Greater East Ohio Area chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Established in 1997, this year’s classic attracted more than 100 golfers to the Sand Ridge Country Club in Chardon. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $400,000 in honor of the firm’s founder Marvin Shamis. The event’s proceeds are equally divided between the two Alzheimer’s Association chapters.

“The fight against Alzheimer’s is a cause that is near to our hearts,” said senior managing director Mark Goldfarb in a statement. “It’s wonderful to see our colleagues and friends come out and support the mission of this great organization.”
