Utah firm hosts concert, recruitment event for Gen Z

Utah accounting firm Tanner LLC will be hosting a concert/mingle recruitment event on Friday, Sept. 14, for accounting students from Brigham Young University, the University of Utah, Southern Utah University, Weber State University and Utah State University.

The students are invited to the City Creek Center in Salt Lake City to network and speak with Tanner representatives and expand their knowledge about the profession.

Utah indie folk musician Paul Jacobson will headline the music portion of the event while Chris Redgrave, host of Zions Banl’s radio program “Zions Bank Speaking on Business” will present on the topic of Millennieals in the workplace.

"Tanner is unique in that the average age of our employees is just over 30," said managing partner Jeff Bickel in a statement. "That's pretty young for an accounting firm. What that means is that we're able to offer graduates the opportunity to advance quickly and really develop their careers in whatever specialties most interest them."

The event, themed as "Learn it, Live it, Earn it at Tanner U!” will be the firm’s last of the summer. More information is available at Tanner's event page and RSVPs can be made to Andrea Gold at agold@tannerco.com.
