UHY ices out rival bankers for charity

The Michigan CPAs of UHY recently took to the ice, teaming up with Howard & Howard Attorneys to face off against bankers from Talmer Bank & Trust in a charity hockey game to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan.

The Oak Park Ice Arena event raised $1,765 for the organization, which has provided youth development programs, sporting activities, events and a safe haven for children since 1926.

“It was a great collective team effort by three outstanding professional services firms to help provide community support for a wonderful local cause such as the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan,” stated Dennis Gistinger, managing director of Talmer Bank & Trust.

The UHY and Howard & Howard team defeated Talmer Bank & Trust 8-9, making the score even after last year’s banker victory.
