The Virginia Society of CPAs Educational Foundation announced its college scholarship recipients for the 2014-15 academic year.
A nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting business and accounting education and pursuit of the CPA, the VSCPA Educational Foundation this year awarded $45,000 in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral scholarships to 24 accounting college students in the state.
Applicants must be currently enrolled or have been accepted in an accounting program at a Virginia college or university, while other selection criteria includes overall academic performance, entry essay, faculty recommendation(s) and community and/or extracurricular activities.
