Payroll? Yeah, theres an app for that too.
SurePayroll introduced an iPhone app for its online payroll service December 1, and the app has already been downloaded thousands of times, according to SurePayroll president Michael Alter. He stopped by the SourceMedia Accountants Media Group offices today to demonstrate the app to WebCPA and Accounting Today editors.
The app uses Apples iPhone touch screen to let users run payroll and payroll reports. The app will tell a payroll manager the salaries of employees, allow them to check employee schedules, view employee profiles and photos, and add hours. Users can tap on the Submit Payroll icon and the service will run the payroll. The app is free, but users need to be SurePayroll customers to use it.
Alter said SurePayroll is in the process of developing a BlackBerry version of the application that it plans to introduce in the second quarter. A version for Googles Android phone operating system may be developed too.
The company prides itself on being an online-only payroll service. Now that its got an iPhone app, its showing that it can stay in sync with the latest trends.
