A Global Look at Internal Audit

The consulting and internal audit firm Protiviti has released its annual Internal Audit around the World outlook.

For the past 11 years, Protiviti has reported on the economic challenges and changes affecting the internal audit function.  For this year’s report, Protiviti examined the differences between chief audit executives and internal audit stakeholders, while also recommending how these two roles can find a middle ground.

The report also describes the tools that internal auditors can use to break down such barriers and analyze strategic processes across their organizations. For the report, Protiviti spoke with auditors at organizations such as Bayer, JCPenney, Kimberly-Clark, the London Stock Exchange Group, and others.
