More than Half of Adults behind on Retirement Planning

Fifty-three percent of U.S. adults have not started making financial arrangements for retirement, according to a new survey, and four out of 10 respondents admitted that not having saved enough for retirement is their biggest financial regret.

The study, by Genworth, found that of the respondents who have started making retirement arrangements, the average age is 33. The respondents reported having average annual retirement savings of $7,360.

Health and finances were among the two most frequently cited aging concerns, at 71 percent and 63 percent, respectively.
