Andrew Cohen, a member of WeiserMazars LLP’s executive committee and partner-in-charge of the Long Island practice, has been elected vice-chair of the AICPA Joint Trial Board for 2013/2014.
“I am honored and humbled to have been elected Vice-Chair of the AICPA’s Joint Trial Board by my peers,” Cohen said in a statement. “I am looking forward to working with my colleagues on the board to uphold the best standards and practices of our AICPA members.”
As vice-chair, Cohen will assist the current chair in presiding over the Trial Board’s annual meeting and overseeing various trial board duties. After serving as vice-chair for 2013/2014, he will automatically take on the role of chair for the 2014/2015 year.
Cohen is a former member of the group’s Professional Ethics Executive Committee and former Chair of its Accounting and Review Services Committee.
