Hideo Takada has joined Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP as a partner in the firm’s Atlanta practice where he will be responsible for developing the national Japanese practice.

“The firm is committed to expanding our International Services Practice and the addition of Hideo to the firm’s Atlanta region further demonstrates our dedication to retain the best and brightest,” Dixon Hughes Goodman’s chairman emeritus Eddie Sams said in a statement.

Takada will take part on the national assurance, tax and advisory team and will primarily work with Japanese-owned subsidiaries operating in the United States, as well as U.S.-based corporations with Japanese operations. He will also provide audit services to manufacturers and distributors ranging in size from start-ups to large companies.

Hideo has more than 27 years of audit experience in the manufacturing, retail and distribution industries, primarily working with Japanese-owned companies in the Southeastern United States.

Prior to joining Dixon Hughes Goodman, Hideo served as a partner and National Audit Leader at KPMG.

Takada also served as chairman of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Georgia through April 2012, and executive board member of Japan America Society of Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, and is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia.
