The Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA presented Linda West, senior manager at Stone Carlie & Company LLC, with the Women to Watch Emerging Leaders Award.

Recipients of the award are up-and-coming accounting professionals who exhibit strong leadership skills and have made significant contributions to the profession.

West works in Stone Carlie’s tax and business services unit where she helps public companies to implement tax planning strategies and spends significant time assisting early-stage businesses in growing their practices. As the leader of the firm’s life science and emerging technology practice, West volunteers her time with several life science companies.

In addition to serving clients, West is a mentor and performance supervisor to Stone Carlie employees. She provides mentees with the tools and resources they need to succeed in their own careers. In addition, West is part of the firm’s Emerging Leadership Academy program where she has developed two resource tools for employees and clients that also save clients time and money.

West is active in professional organizations such as the Missouri Venture Forum and the Young Leader Institute.  She also serves as the Youth Group Mission Coordinator at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church where she organizes local services activities as well as coordinates youth mission trips to impoverished countries.
