UHY Advisors NY Has A New Leader

Michael Mahoney to succeed Richard Kotlow as CEO

Michael Mahoney, a managing director at UHY Advisors NY, has been named president and chief executive officer of UHY Advisors NY.

Mahoney succeeds Richard (Dick) Kotlow who held the position since 2004. Kotlow will retire from his role on Dec. 31, 2012 and will remain with the firm as a senior consultant. Kotlow has been with the firm since 1972.

“It has been a pleasure serving under Dick’s stewardship as managing director and leader of the firm’s Metropolitan New York operations for the past eight years,” Mahoney said in a statement. “I value his mentorship and the faith he has placed in me."

Mahoney has spent the length of his career at UHY Advisors NY. He began his career with the company in Albany in 1985 before moving to the firm’s New York City office in 1990. Mahoney has led the firm’s New York Metropolitan operations since 1999.
