WNDE Promotes Three to Partner

White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP promoted Sean Thorstenson, Steven Combs and David Forman to partner.  

Thorstenson, who works in the firm’s Irvine tax and advisory practice, has been with the firm for 15 years and is experienced with corporate and partnership taxation, individual compliance and planning for high net-worth taxpayers, including estate and trust planning, oil and gas investments, payroll, sales and property tax compliance. He works with privately-held businesses within the manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional services and/or real estate sectors.

Thorstenson earned his B.S. in accounting from Chapman University in 1995 his M.S. in taxation from Cal State Fullerton in 2006 and his CPA designation in 2000.  He is a member of the AICPA and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Combs also works in the firm’s Irvine tax and advisory practice and started his accounting career with the firm 13 years ago. He provides tax compliance, planning and consulting services for private middle-market businesses and individuals. He’s also experienced in corporate taxation including consolidated and multi-state taxation as well as mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, tax examinations and appeals, financial accounting for income taxes, due diligence, transaction structuring, and individual compliance and planning.  He provides services to middle market manufacturers, retailers, medical and personal services businesses and technology companies in Orange County and throughout Southern California.

Combs earned his B.A. in accounting from Cal State University Fullerton in 1999, his M.S. in taxation from Cal State Fullerton in 2006, and his CPA designation in 2002.  He’s also a member of the AICPA and the CalCPA.

 

Forman works in the firm’s Carlsbad office in the tax advisory and audit practice. He kicked off his career in accounting with the firm 19 years ago. He specializes in individual and corporate taxation as well as governmental and non-profit accounting and auditing. He also assists clients with information technology and design of small business accounting systems.

Forman earned his B.A. degree from UC San Diego in 1987, and his CPA designation in 1996. He is a member of CalCPA.
