Weaver Adds Goral as Partner in Dallas Office

Mike Goral joins Weaver as partner in the firm’s Dallas office where he will spearhead the firm’s state and local tax services division.

Prior to Weaver, Goral worked at PwC as a director in the firm’s SALT practice where he was responsible for new business development and management of the Fort Worth, Austin and Little Rock markets. He also managed large engagements with various multistate tax matters involving income/franchise and sales/use taxes including corporate restructurings, audits, voluntary disclosure agreements, letter rulings, multistate compliance matters and reverse sales tax audits.

“Mike’s exclusive concentration and experience in SALT services will provide a platform for Weaver to rapidly continue the expansion of our state and local tax practice throughout Texas and the United States,” Weaver’s partner-in-charge of tax and strategic business services Clint Siddons said in a statement.

Goral is a member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation and he often presents taxation topics at professional organizations and has been published in numerous legal and business tax publications.

Goral earned a Master of Laws, an internationally-recognized postgraduate law degree that, in his case, specializes in tax law from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Ga., a Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Ala., and a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and psychology at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
